Sr. Engineer (iOS)

Be part of something special! This role of Sr. Engineer (iOS) will have a mix of coding and collaboration responsibilities to help sustain and grow our SDKs which are embedded in over 500 client apps globally some of which are among the topmost used app on the app store. Getting. You'll be challenged to envision the technical aspects and solutions for the future landscape of globalizing/growing our SDK further. The role is a great opportunity to further grow your technical skills and deliver highly impactful products that help millions of fans to experience live events.

The job involves:

  • 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Extensive experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using multiple general-purpose programming languages (Swift or Objective-C)
  • Proven experience in developing sophisticated user interfaces using SwiftUI, with a solid grasp of modern iOS UI patterns and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming in iOS using Combine and Swift's async/await, with experience handling reactive data flows effectively.
  • Experience with dependency injection in iOS using frameworks like Swinject or Resolver to support scalable, modular architectures.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with MVVM, MVI, and similar architectural paradigms used in modern iOS app development.
  • Previous experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact
  • A strong understanding of how their systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives
  • Exposure to React Native
  • Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools
  • Experience owning projects from the initial idea all the way to production
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers

Technical skills needed:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience (predominantly within Native iOS Development) and a deep understanding of full-stack development, app performance and architecture.
  • Strong technical skills in mobile app development, with experience in iOS and Android platforms.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
  • Previous proven ability to lead a team through the full life cycle of software development
  • Demonstrated expertise in building software with one or more of the following: Infrastructure, Databases, Data Processing, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Security, and Privacy

Behavioral skills:

  • Ability to meet commitments and multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be a great team player and exhibiting a positive attitude
  • Ability to own and manage multiple concurrent projects, including presenting and negotiating with stakeholders on the interdependencies and possibilities of what can be realistically delivered
  • Experience building services or applications where performance is an important consideration.
  • Things that are easy at low scale can be incredibly challenging at Ticketmaster's scale so experience with performance tuning and optimizations is extremely valuable.

The expected compensation for this position in British Columbia is:

$120,000 - $150,000 CAD annually.
