The Director Of Vip Lounge Operations leads the execution and operational excellence of all food, beverage, music, programming in the new VIP Lounge. The ideal candidate combines culinary leadership with strong business acumen—driving vendor partnerships, cost control, team training, and guest experience innovation. This role also oversees key operational areas including F&B operations, security staffing, membership programs, upsell strategy, artist relations, marketing collaboration, facility maintenance, HR processes, and full P&L ownership across all revenue streams.
Guest Experience, Membership & Culture
- Cultivate a culture of creativity, consistency, and care in all departments
- Ensure hospitality standards are met across all guest touchpoints
- Engage in tastings, guest feedback sessions, and VIP experiences to continuously elevate the offering.
- Assist with space programming on show nights and non-show nights as needed.
- Oversee membership sales and service strategy, including onboarding, retention, and exclusive member experiences.
- Manage relationships with artists and talent, ensuring hospitality standards and backstage experiences meet expectations.
- Oversee high-profile guest service strategy, including VIP arrival coordination, personalized experiences, and discretion protocols.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies for the lounge, membership program, and non-show related events, ensuring alignment with brand identity and audience engagement goals.
- Partner with Special Events team to drive business and execute high level events in the space.
Food & Beverage
- Oversee FOH service standards including guest interaction, table service, and bar execution.
- Develop and enforce opening and closing procedures for food and beverage operations to ensure readiness and consistency.
- Ensure alignment of food and beverage presentation, timing, and hospitality with brand expectations across all service periods.
- Collaborate with Live Nation's F&B team to deliver menus that reflect seasonal trends, guest preferences, and brand identity
- Support the National F&B Team with R&D sessions, tastings, LTOs, and annual refreshes.
- Lead execution of standardized recipes, prep methods, and specs to ensure consistency and scalability.
Operational Oversight
- Collaborate with venue managers and F&B team on operations, training programs, and ongoing leadership.
- Ensure compliance with health codes, licensing laws, and all applicable food safety regulations.
- Oversee security staffing plans, scheduling and protocols to ensure guest safety, staff coordination, and compliance with venue policies
- Manage operational staffing across departments to ensure optimal coverage and performance during peak and off-peak hours.
- Coordinate closely with venue operations, production, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of events and programming.
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the lounge space, ensuring all areas are clean, functional, and aligned with brand standards.
- Implement efficient BOH and bar systems to reduce waste, improve execution, and enhance service speed.
Financial Performance & Cost Controls
- Full ownership of venue P&L, including all revenue and expense categories.
- Develop and manage F&B budgets, including COGS %, labor models, and contribution margin targets.
- Partner with procurement to source premium products, negotiate pricing, and build preferred vendor lists.
- Analyze key performance data (e.g., menu mix, per-cap spend, item velocity) to improve profitability.
- Lead forecasting efforts across all revenue streams including F&B, membership, upsell, and ancillary services.
- Support pricing strategies that balance guest value with financial performance.
- Lead strategy and execution of upsell and ancillary upgrade programs (e.g., VIP packages, premium seating, exclusive menu items) to drive incremental revenue.
- Master cost control, improve prep yield, manage inventory with confidence, and forecast production effectively.
Training & Team Development
- With the larger Venue Nation team, assist in leading training programs for culinary and bar teams focused on technique, hospitality, and brand standards.
- Facilitate quarterly workshops to reinforce SOPs, introduce new offerings, and support service enhancements.
- Train and manage upsell and membership teams to ensure consistent messaging, guest engagement, and conversion performance.
- Manage HR processes including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and team development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and workplace standards across all departments.
8+ years of leadership experience in culinary and/or beverage operations within high-volume, multi-unit, or concept development environments.
Proven track record in F&B program management.
Strong knowledge of current food & beverage trends, global cuisines, craft cocktail programs, and premium spirits/wines.
Demonstrated success in managing P&Ls, meeting COGS targets, and driving contribution margins.
Expertise in recipe costing, vendor negotiations, and inventory systems.
Experience managing security and operational staffing in a hospitality or entertainment venue.
Proven success in membership program development and upsell strategy execution.
Experience working directly with artists, talent teams, and high-profile guests in a hospitality or entertainment setting.
Experience collaborating with marketing teams to drive promotional strategy and audience engagement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, recipe/POS/inventory platforms.
Passion for team leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across departments.
Strong forecasting and financial planning skills across diverse revenue streams.
Experience managing space maintenance and coordinating with facilities teams.
Familiarity with HR processes including hiring, onboarding, and compliance.
