Director, People Operations
At Livefront, we help companies design and build world-class digital products that command attention and inspire joy. We've helped household names like Target, Samsung, General Mills, and Optum create experiences that have reached millions of people, and startups like HomeSpotter and Acclaim build entirely new businesses that challenge their industries' status quo.
We're looking for a high-performing Director of People Operations to join our team. You're a multi-disciplinary recruiting and HR leader who's equally comfortable across all stages of the employee experience, including recruiting and talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, culture, performance, and learning and development. You have built a career on cultivating an incredible company culture, continuously strengthening employee retention, dedication, and diversity, while fueling business growth. You are one part visionary and storyteller and another part detail-oriented stickler, holding the bar high for yourself and others. You have a track record of recruiting for digital product organizations and can show past performance outcomes wherein both the recruits and the business have thrived. You're a terrific communicator who can accurately represent the excitement and opportunity associated with attaining—and retaining—a position on the Livefront team. You can deftly navigate contentious, sensitive, and confidential topics with poise. In this role, you will directly oversee recruiters and other administrative positions.
What you will be doing:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters and HR professionals to build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Shape the long-term People Operations strategy so it reflects Livefront's mission, values, and evolving priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and practice area leaders on talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide the recruiting team with clear direction and measurable objectives while creating growth opportunities.
- Set the vision for talent acquisition, ensuring strategies support business goals, advance diversity, and strengthen the employer brand.
- Act as a trusted and confidential resource for employees navigating concerns, conflicts, or sensitive matters.
- Use employee feedback to shape strategies that strengthen engagement and retention.
- Administer the HRIS (Rippling), ensuring data accuracy and consistent use across processes such as onboarding, benefits, and employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage employee relations by providing guidance and support on sensitive workplace matters with discretion and empathy.
- Evaluate People Operations programs regularly to improve quality, efficiency, and the employee experience.
- Drive the creation of scalable recruiting processes and tools that improve efficiency and elevate the candidate experience.
- Monitor recruiting metrics to identify trends, address challenges, and implement targeted improvements.
- Partner with leaders to forecast hiring needs and align recruiting resources where they will have the greatest impact.
- Ensure candidates and hiring managers experience an equitable, consistent, and positive recruitment process.
- Oversee and administrate benefits programs (health, ancillary, and retirement) and serve as the main point of contact for employees and external providers (brokers and carriers).
- Design and facilitate onboarding programs that immerse new hires in Livefront's culture and equip them for early success.
- Facilitate offboarding and leave management for employees.
- Refine onboarding practices over time by incorporating feedback and best practices.
- Collaborate with leaders to maintain performance review processes that are fair, consistent, and clearly communicated.
- Oversee the maintenance of salary bands, title structures, and career pathways that encourage advancement and retention.
- Work with leadership to identify and promote meaningful learning and development opportunities.
- Influence Livefront's culture by embedding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into everyday operations.
- Create programs and traditions that celebrate accomplishments, recognize contributions, and build team cohesion.
- Manage HR operations to ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Stay current on HR trends, legal updates, and best practices to keep Livefront competitive and compliant.
Why you should apply:
- You want to work with and lead passionate and talented people who are always looking for ways to make things better.
- You desire, and strive to foster, a work environment where respect, mutual trust, and egoless collaboration are paramount.
- You want colleagues who take their work seriously but not themselves, and who know how to let loose and have a good time.
- You like being part of a team that has a reputation for excellence and gives back to the community by educating, mentoring, and sponsoring.
- You believe in sweating the details, giving a damn about quality, and taking pride in going the extra mile.
What you bring to the table:
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to confidently represent Livefront and our values as an organization—to candidates, employees, and external partners alike.
- A demonstrated hunger for personal and professional growth, with the drive to continually elevate the People Operations function.
- A self-evident love and care for the craft of recruiting and taking care of people in technology and design-driven organizations.
- At least 7+ years of relevant leadership experience in HR and recruiting, ideally within a professional services or high-growth environment.
- An insatiable and relentless drive for always pushing things forward and producing great work, balancing vision with execution.
- Rigid discipline and personal organization skills, ensuring consistency, follow-through, and attention to detail in all areas of responsibility.
- A demonstrated history of empowering, supporting, and lifting up a team to do the best work of their lives, while fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace.
- The integrity, empathy, and discretion to handle sensitive, complex, and confidential matters with sound judgment and poise.
Bonus points if you…
- Speak, write, and/or educate publicly about People Operations.
