Test Engineer Role

As a test engineer, you will be responsible for the introduction and implementation of test setups for series production tests of PCBAs, assemblies, and systems. Your areas of responsibility include clarifying technical requirements, designing suitable test solutions, selecting, acquiring, and qualifying measuring devices, as well as creating test programs with LabVIEW including qualification and validation of test systems in the regulated medical technology production environment.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Introduction and programming of test setups using LabVIEW
• Responsible for 100% test coverage during the industrialization of new products according to test requirements
• Design, procurement, and implementation of test equipment for manual and automated testing methods
• Qualification and validation of devices, associated software, and test methods for new product introductions
• Cooperation with the project manager for industrialization to meet the schedule for new projects
• Close cooperation with R&D regarding test requirements, product test parameters (CTQ/CTS), and "Design for Testability (DFT)"
• Close cooperation with the industrial engineer and the process development engineer to solve ongoing problems related to tests
• Responsible for the test programs of final acceptances
• Creation of test plans and work instructions for test applications
• Conducting quality assurance and designing performance tests using new test procedures
• Troubleshooting errors, cost savings, and increasing the automation level of test procedures

Qualification and experience:

• Several years of experience in the development and execution of module and system tests, especially using LabVIEW
• Practical experience in the environment of gas technology as well as understanding of physical relationships, especially dynamics and time-dependent processes
• Very good programming skills in LabVIEW; knowledge of C and Python is advantageous.
• Founded experience in the development of new test methods, test concepts, and test setups for the introduction of new products, devices, and software
• Experience in the qualification and validation of test systems as well as the associated test software
• Comprehensive knowledge of test procedures, measurement technology, as well as statistical data evaluation and analysis of measurement results
• Profound problem-solving skills, hands-on mentality, and structured, goal-oriented working method with a high sense of quality
• Very good skills in systematic troubleshooting as well as analytical and creative thinking
• Very good German and English skills in speech and writing
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of hierarchy
• Team capability and experience in working in intercultural teams
• Education:
• Completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience as a test engineer
