The VP Of Human Resources serves as a key member of the Littelfuse HR team as well as the Transportation & Logistics Business Unit leadership team. This strategic leadership position is responsible for partnering with the SVP & General Manager as well as the leadership team of the Transportation & Logistics Business Unit to build robust and future oriented leadership and workforce strategy, attract, develop, and engage diverse talent around the world to support business performance and growth. The role is based in Chicago, IL and will report to the SVP & CHRO.
The Transportation & Logistics business is approximately $700M in revenue with 5,100 employees globally. The key markets of the business targets Passenger Vehicles, Material Handling/Logistics, Heavy-Duty Truck & Bus, Off-Road & Recreational Vehicles, Agricultural Machinery and other markets. Main employee footprint is in Mexico, China, Europe with the leadership team located in the US. The business is strategically positioned for growth in expanding T&L vertical markets and geographies with the intent to double the business over the next five years. This will be accomplished through share growth, strategic product development, and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnership: Responsible for building effective relationships with business leaders to ensure functional alignment with business needs and strategic initiatives; provide strategic partnership and coaching for business leaders.
- Strategy & Planning: Provide strategy and sustainable human capital solutions aligned with business strategy and objectives; work cohesively with all business and functional areas to deliver breakthrough results consistently.
- Workforce planning & management: Support business leaders in achieving optimal staffing levels with the right skillsets; use data and insights to understand and plan for the capability and capacity that the business or function needs.
- Talent management: Partner with business leaders, apply an array of strategic talent management solutions to attract, develop, and retain talent to support business objectives.
- Organizational design and effectiveness: Use systems, models, and data to analyze organizational problems and provide solutions. Identify and evaluate organizational design needs and drive the development and implementation of solutions.
- Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging: Partner with business leaders, champion DIBs initiatives across the organization from culture and talent perspectives.
- Change management: Act as a change agent to the business and implement processes and approaches which prepare leaders and associates for ongoing change and transformation; consult on process improvement initiatives.
- Employee relations: Support leaders and managers at all levels by providing advice and coaching in relation to performance issues, investigations, and other employee matters; ensure that the team's work is compliant with local employment laws.
- Team development: Manage, coach, and develop a global team of HR professionals, including the assignment of projects, priorities, and overseeing day-to-day responsibilities as it relates to HR support of assigned functions.
