Product Engineer

About the Job
- Design ownership of automotive sensor products being produced in Piedras Negras.
- Ensure product performance and clarify technical requirements to internal and external customers.
- Participate in the implementation of automotive sensor projects (new products, modification, cost reduction).
- Create test & validation plans to evaluate product changes. Evaluate and report on results to internal and external customers.
- Model and create engineering drawings in Unigraphics NX for product releases and changes, using the Littelfuse internal system for CAD management.
- Submit, review, and approve engineering changes and product deviations as needed. Support changes with engineering analysis and testing results. Follow internal processes for completing engineering changes, including review with other departments.
- Execute problem-solving activities, root cause analysis, and product testing to support issues with production or raw materials. Ensure that products successfully meet internal customer and project requirements.
- Participate in teamwork with global Littelfuse teams to solve problems and support customers.
- Location: Piedras Negras, Coahuila.
About You
- Engineering Degree: Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English (90%). Knowledge in other language(s) is an advantage.
- 2-5 years' experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of sensors and automotive products/processes are an advantage. Experience in other similar, highly-regulated industries (medical, aerospace, etc.) are also an advantage.
- Competency in 3D CAD and 2D engineering drawing techniques.
- Experience with problem-solving techniques (RedX, Six Sigma, DOE, Jidoka, etc.)
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence, technical / product information, policies and procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to complete written forms and write complex procedures, reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all organizational levels as well as customer or supplier representatives.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Previous experience with Multinational Corporations (MNC) is an advantage.
- Be able to work under time constraints.
- Willing to travel occasionally for the job (<10%).
