The Lean Engineer reports directly to the Lean Coordinator. This role is responsible for analyzing moderately complex value streams to identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities in the form of quality, safety, delivery, cost, and inventory.

About The Role

• Implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodology tools through Kaizen events, such as: VSM (value mapping), Work Area Organization (6S), Visual Management, Standardized Work, Material Handling System (Kanban, POU, Heijunka), TPM and SMED, among others.

• Promote continuous improvement throughout the organization, participate in and lead Kaizen events.

• Promote continuous improvement throughout the organization through training in improvement tools.

• Coordinate and promote participation in continuous improvement through the LSGA System with associates at different levels.

About You

• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma.

• 1 to 2 years of experience.

• Strong ability to learn and apply new concepts.

• Persuasive personality.

• Stimulate creative thinking throughout the organization.

• Leadership, facilitation, and communication skills with associates. Demonstrated high performance and commitment to continuous improvement.

• Ability to build functional teams.

• Problem-solving skills.
