What We're Looking For:
- Experience in an automotive advising role, preferably with the Nissan brand in a dealership setting. A passion for automobiles and the Nissan brand is a must to be successful in this position.
- Must be able to proactively engage with customers, building strong relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Understanding of automotive repair and maintenance, particularly with Nissan vehicles. While not necessarily needing to be an expert mechanic, having the ability to grasp common issues and solutions is important.
- Ability to identify and create upselling opportunities by understanding customer needs and recommending relevant parts and services.
- Provide excellent communication and customer service skills by delivering excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Eager to meet and exceed sales targets, particularly in upselling and increasing the average order value.
- Ability to provide feedback and insights to the management team to improve sales strategies and customer experience
- Computer savvy with the ability to use inventory management systems. CDK experience is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- As a Service Advisor you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records.
- Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.
- Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
- Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
- Keeping customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.
Qualifications:
- Prefer 2 years of experience as a service advisor
- Communication skills – communicates effectively with others.
- Automotive aptitude and knowledge are preferred
- Time management – managing one's own time and time of others.
- Typing – ability to type efficiently in order to enter repair orders.
- Basic computer & cost calculation skills.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
