Job Overview: Birmingham Advance, a leader in septic and drain field repair and installation, is looking for a dedicated and motivated Technician Helper to assist the lead technicians in daily operations. The Technician Helper will play a vital role in supporting septic system repairs, installations, and maintenance. This role requires a strong work ethic, physical endurance, and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and repair of septic systems and drain fields, including digging trenches, laying pipes, and connecting tanks.
• Help locate, access, and assess septic system components.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as pumping, cleaning, and inspecting tanks.
• Operate basic tools and equipment, including shovels, hand tools, and machinery (once trained).
• Assist lead technicians with troubleshooting and diagnosing septic system issues.
• Load and unload equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared for each job.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces, including vehicles and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform manual labor, including digging, lifting, and bending.
