A leading provider of customized transportation and logistics services in the Richmond area is seeking an Operations Specialist to join our team.

The Operations Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the expected service levels for all shipments. This position is responsible for tracking, tracing, and updating shipments with accurate and timely information, while ensuring the highest quality of service to its customers.
Track, trace, and monitor shipments, ensuring timely and accurate status updates with completed notes.
Process routine customer information to transportation, billing, and collection efforts.
Monitor web, fax, and voicemail for updates from service providers.
Maintain and update data for specific customers, markets, products, and processes.
Support coordinators, supervisors, and managers with day-to-day operational needs.
Communicate issues with shipments.
Confirm charges from service providers and ensure cost accuracy.
Assist with operations, sales efforts, contracts, and billing as needed.
Adhere to company security procedures (C-TPAT and TSA compliance).
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or the equivalent.
2 yearsโ of customer service experience
Must be able to work 3rd shift, Monday โ Friday, Midnight โ 8:30am
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow detailed procedures.
Must be able pass background screening!
