The Office of Service-Learning (OSL) is looking for a creative and proactive innovator to develop and promote stimulating learning programmes for students. Service-Learning at Lingnan is supported by a vibrant academic community that is enthusiastic about empowering students to apply their knowledge to drive innovation, growth, and social prosperity for global impact. OSL supports about 50 local Service-Learning courses during Fall and Spring terms and collaborates with top universities around the world to offer global Service-Learning experiences every winter and summer. OSL has arms on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and humanitarian technology which works to integrate, support and empower the Lingnan community in utilizing innovation, creativity, technology and entrepreneurship for a better future. It delivers an array of education and service opportunities that aims to identify and solve pressing humanitarian challenges with a sustainable development mindset, technology application and entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

• Promote Service-Learning, design thinking, humanitarian technology, and entrepreneurship activities internally, as well as to the general public through digital as well as other means
• Liaise with faculty and community partners to facilitate the program's execution
• Utilize various digital platforms and social media accounts to promote events, projects and results
• Assist in developing educational material for teaching and community engagement
• Assist in organizing design studios and STEM workshops for university and school students
• Incorporate undergraduate research experience into Service-Learning
• Perform administrative duties, including programme promotions and Service-Learning coordination
• Organize and provide on-site supervision for both local and overseas Service-Learning projects
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisors

Requirements

• A recognized university degree
• High proficiency in written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• Strong sense of responsibility, meticulous and well organized
• Good analytical and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in PC operations (MS Office applications and Chinese Word Processing)
• Experience in doing innovation and entrepreneurship project will be an advantage
• Willingness to work outside regular office hours and travel overseas for on-site supervision is preferred
• Fresh graduate is welcome

Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank. Successful candidates will be working in a team with diverse expertise from science to engineering, and social science to marketing. Candidates with good knowledge of Service-Learning, experiential learning, e-learning, MOOC, STEM and liberal education are highly preferred. Salary and Fringe Benefits The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
