Sr, IBMi Systems Engineer

The Sr, IBMi Systems Engineer role is critical to the stability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise infrastructure, supporting high volume, mission-critical applications in a complex, IASP-enabled environment.

Job Functions

1. Administers and troubleshoots IBMi OS in an IASP-enabled environment
2. Manages IBM SAN infrastructure, preferably DS8K series, including provisioning, replication, and backup
3. Implements and supports PowerHA and Global Mirror for high availability and disaster recovery
4. Coordinates and executes role swaps and manages Virtual Tape Libraries
5. Monitors and optimizes system performance using tools like iDoctor
6. Supports third-party and bespoke applications on IBM i
7. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and scalability
8. Maintains detailed documentation and participates in on-call support rotations
