Wilson Medical Center's Perioperative Services division supports a wide range of outpatient and procedural care. Our team includes RNs, LPNs, surgical and procedural support staff, and administrative personnel who work collaboratively to ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑centered care. With a strong focus on quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence, this department plays a vital role in supporting both clinical operations and the overall patient experience.
As the Manager of Outpatient Services, you will assist in leading daily operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring that departmental goals related to quality, safety, engagement, and financial performance are consistently met.
How you'll contribute
A Manager, Outpatient Services, who excels in this role:
- Assists in the oversight of operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities within assigned areas
- Reviews performance data including quality, satisfaction, engagement, and financial reports
- Monitors productivity, goal achievement, and overall departmental effectiveness
- Plans and allocates resources to ensure appropriate staffing and workflow
- Makes financially responsible and defensible business decisions aligned with organizational policies
- Prepares and maintains reports necessary for tracking departmental performance
- Supports the development, coaching, and performance management of assigned staff
- Reviews and recommends updates to operating policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of care

What we're looking for
A compassionate, organized, and forward‑thinking nurse leader with strong critical‑thinking skills and the ability to support both clinical and operational functions.
Required Education & Experience:
- Associate's degree required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two to three years of professional nursing experience required
- One year of supervisory experience preferred
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to respond effectively to patient and family needs
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- Current NC or multistate RN license
- BLS (provided or obtained within first week of hire)
- ACLS
- PALS
