Healthcare Customer Service Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to join our client's team in Mission Valley, San Diego. This role is ideal for someone with strong phone experience who thrives in a high-volume call environment and is passionate about helping patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, assisting patients with scheduling, inquiries, and general support
  • Provide accurate information regarding services, appointments, insurance, and billing questions
  • Maintain a professional, empathetic, and patient-focused approach on every call
  • Coordinate with clinical staff and departments to ensure timely resolution of patient needs
  • Assist with appointment confirmations, follow-ups, and reminders
  • Resolve patient concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times

Qualifications:

  • 1–3+ years of healthcare customer service or call center experience is preferred
  • Strong phone presence and ability to manage high call volumes efficiently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills

Position Details:

  • Onsite work schedule
  • Compensation: $24.00 per hour
  • Located in Mission Valley, San Diego
  • Contract to hire role
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
