Customer Service Representative (Admissions Coordinator)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing company in Phoenix, AZ that is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join the team! This is a full-time onsite position Monday through Friday with fun perks and benefits! Pay range is $19.00-$23.00 per hour depending on prior experience.

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as a key liaison between students, families, and institutional departments. This role is ideal for professionals with prior experience in admissions or financial aid, offering a unique blend of customer service, compliance awareness, and student support. The CSR ensures a positive experience by guiding individuals through enrollment, financial aid, and academic processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries related to admissions, enrollment, financial aid, and academic programs via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Provide accurate information about application procedures, deadlines, eligibility criteria, and required documentation.
  • Assist students in navigating online portals for admissions and financial aid applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to student accounts, financial aid disbursements, and registration holds.
  • Maintain detailed records in student information systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, Ellucian).
  • Collaborate with admissions, registrar, and financial aid teams to resolve student concerns.
  • Educate students on available scholarships, grants, and loan options.
  • Support outreach efforts such as open houses, orientation events, and virtual info sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies when handling sensitive student data.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in education, business, or related field highly preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a college, university, or educational institution.
  • Prior experience in admissions, financial aid, or student services is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
