Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as a key point of contact between customers, vendors, sales, and internal teams. This role is responsible for processing quotes and orders, coordinating pricing and availability, and providing timely updates throughout the order lifecycle. The CSR works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer quotes and sales orders accurately within the ERP/EDI system.
- Receive and respond to customer requests via phone and email regarding pricing, orders, availability, and delivery timelines.
- Contact vendors by phone, email, or through online portals to obtain pricing, part numbers, lead times, and estimated delivery dates.
- Coordinate information between customers, vendors, and the sales team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Provide order status updates and tracking information, acting as a liaison between customers and sales.
- Manage customer accounts and order activity through client and vendor web portals.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and customer interactions within the ERP system.
- Support walk-in customers at the customer service counter located near the warehouse and customer service entrance.
- Identify opportunities for growth into pricing, billing, or other departments as experience is gained.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–3 years of customer service experience required, with manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, AS400/ASP, or Salesforce.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Technically proficient and able to navigate email, systems, and online portals efficiently.
Job Details:
- 100% onsite.
- Pay $20-$23 an hour depending on experience.
