Now Hiring: Customer Service Specialist in Carlsbad, CA

Location: Carlsbad, CA Schedule: On-site Monday–Friday; hybrid flexibility may be available after permanent hire Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay: $22.00/hour

We're seeking a confident, customer focused Customer Service Specialist to support a high-volume insurance team in Carlsbad. This role requires strong phone etiquette, the ability to manage a heavy call load, and a positive attitude when handling challenging or escalated customer situations. Candidates will start fully onsite, with the potential for hybrid flexibility once hired on permanently.

Responsibilities:

• Manage high-volume inbound calls with professionalism and a customer-first approach
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email
• Review and process audit-related paperwork with speed and accuracy
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
• Resolve customer concerns clearly, confidently, and with empathy
• Document all customer interactions and follow-up actions in the system
• Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless service and issue resolution

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience required; insurance experience a plus
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
• Comfort working in a high-volume call center environment
• Proficient with basic computer applications and CRM systems
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn and grow
• Ability to stay patient and calm with frustrated or escalated customers
