Provides private banking and asset management services, specializing in wealth management for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients worldwide.

Credit Services Manager

LGT Wealth Management was formed around a clear and uncompromising vision – to bring global best practice in building institutional quality investment portfolios to Australian clients.

With a shared passion for building an uncompromised business – we created something new from the ground up. A chance to leave behind the things that weren't working, while enhancing the things that were. Our authentic and personalised client-first commitment. Our entrepreneurial spirit. Our focus in best-in-class advice. And our intimate understanding of the Australian private wealth landscape.

In 2022 we became a part of the LGT Group, who shared our entrepreneurial spirit, long-term approach and private-ownership model. Today, with the global expertise, stability, and capability of LGT behind us, we can work without being reliant on markets or margins, with a singular focus on giving our clients the advice and deep expertise they need for generations to come.

About the Opportunity

At LGT Wealth Management, credit plays a critical role in enabling adviser success and protecting the business. This Credit Services Manager opportunity sits at the centre of our private wealth offering, supporting high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients through sophisticated lending solutions.

You'll work closely with Investment Advisers, structuring, approving, executing and actively managing standard Lombard lending facilities. You'll be trusted to make sound credit judgements, manage risk, and ensure lending structures are implemented and monitored accurately.

This is a hands-on role for a credit professional who enjoys taking ownership, working closely with advisers, and seeing things through end to end.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you'll act as the first‑line credit expert for standard Lombard lending, managing the full credit lifecycle end to end. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering closely with Investment Advisers to translate client borrowing needs into approved, compliant credit solutions
  • Assessing and preparing Lombard credit applications, periodic reviews and submissions for approval
  • Executing approved transactions, including documentation, security perfection and system setup
  • Ensuring accurate facility, collateral and margin setup within Avaloq or equivalent systems
  • Actively monitoring credit exposures, margin positions and breaches, managing margin calls calmly and effectively
  • Identifying and escalating complex, structured or non‑standard credit requests
  • Monitoring credit portfolio risk, including stress testing and risk reporting
  • Supporting credit policy enhancements, process improvement initiatives, UAT and projects
  • Assisting with regulatory reporting, exception management and non‑performing loans where required

You'll manage a live portfolio of facilities and work within local and global credit frameworks, balancing commercial outcomes with a disciplined risk approach.

About You

You're a technically capable credit professional who enjoys execution, follow‑through and accountability. You're comfortable working closely with advisers, confident making judgement calls within limits, and able to constructively challenge when required

You'll likely bring:

  • Strong experience in credit analysis or credit risk, ideally from private banking, wealth management or a bank credit environment
  • Exposure to secured lending such as Lombard lending, margin lending or mortgages (Lombard experience is advantageous but not essential)
  • A high level of attention to detail, particularly across documentation, systems and monitoring
  • The ability to remain calm and structured under pressure, especially during margin calls or breaches
  • Sound commercial judgement paired with strong risk awareness
  • Comfort working in credit systems (Avaloq experience helpful but not mandatory)
  • An interest in process improvement, technology, automation or change initiatives

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Play a key role as a trusted credit partner, directly supporting adviser capability and client growth
  • Gain exposure to complex, high‑value HNW/UHNW credit structures in a leading private wealth setting
  • Be part of a supportive, collaborative culture built on trust, respect and teamwork

LGT Wealth Management is committed to the ongoing development of their employees. Your development will be managed and tailored to your role and future career path.

LGT Wealth Management is an equal opportunity employer committed to embracing a diverse and inclusive work environment. We aim to attract and retain the best people regardless of their gender, marital/parental status, ethnic origin, nationality, age, background, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity.
