We are seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents that enhance and automate SAP Retail or SAP MM Supply Chain processes. This role focuses on developing intelligent agents that monitor SAP transactions, detect anomalies, generate insights, and execute automated actions through integration with SAP and related enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on SAP Retail experience and strong technical aptitude, with experience or interest in Python, automation, and AI-driven workflows. Agentic AI development is the primary responsibility, with SAP Retail expertise providing business and system context.
This is an individual contributor role focused on hands-on development of AI agents, working closely with SAP functional, integration, and engineering teams.
About the Job
Agentic AI Development
- Design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI agents that monitor and interact with SAP Retail or SAP MM and Supply Chain systems.
- Build agents capable of:
- Monitoring inventory, allocation, and sales transactions
- Detecting operational anomalies and integration failures
- Generating insights and executing automated corrective actions
- Develop agent workflows using:
- Python and automation frameworks
- Agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph, or equivalent)
- API integrations and event-driven architectures
- Integrate AI agents with SAP and enterprise systems using:
- BAPIs, Function Modules, and OData services
- IDOCs (e.g., WPUUMS, WPUBON, MATMAS, ARTMAS)
- SAP S/4HANA Retail or ECC Retail environments
- Integration with SAP CAR, POS, eCommerce, OMS, and WMS systems
SAP Retail Functional Integration
Apply SAP Retail expertise to enable intelligent automation across core retail processes:
Merchandise Management
- Article Master (Single, Generic, Variants)
- Merchandise hierarchy, assortments, listing, and delisting
Inventory Management
- Goods movements, stock transfers, and adjustments
- Inventory visibility across distribution centers and stores
Allocation and Replenishment
- Allocation runs and store replenishment
- Site-to-site and DC-to-store transfers
Retail Structure and Pricing
- Site master data and organizational structure
- Retail pricing procedures, promotions, and markdowns
Intelligent Monitoring and Automation
- Develop automated solutions to detect and address:
- Inventory discrepancies
- Allocation and replenishment issues
- Integration and transaction failures
- Order fulfillment inconsistencies
About You
SAP Retail Expertise
- 5–8 years of SAP Retail or SAP MM experience
- Hands-on experience in at least two of the following:
- Merchandise Management
- Inventory Management
- Allocation and Replenishment
- Retail pricing
- Site and organizational structure
- Experience with:
- SAP Retail master data (Article, Site, Assortments, Merchandise hierarchy)
- SAP integrations using IDOCs, BAPIs, and APIs
- SAP S/4HANA Retail and/or SAP CAR
- Retail integrations involving POS, eCommerce, OMS, or WMS systems
Technical and Automation Skills
- Experience with Python, scripting, or automation tools (or strong willingness to learn)
- Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs or middleware
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with structured transactional data
- Strong interest in AI, intelligent automation, and autonomous systems
Preferred Experience
- Apparel or fashion retail industry experience
- Omnichannel retail environments
