Commercial Sales Support Specialist

As a Commercial Sales Support Specialist, you will:

  1. Manage account relationships.
  2. Create and manage daily customer quotations.
  3. Negotiate plan and spec jobs with respective house accounts.
  4. Complete order entry, order maintenance, and management of the order delivery process.
  5. Manage weekly bid schedule.
  6. Prioritize projects and communicate bid dates and times, coordinating quoting responsibilities and objectives with Commercial Territory Managers.
  7. Manage the quote follow-up process, including updating weekly open quote reports, updating the CRM to reflect quote status, and coordinating with 3rd-party vendors.
  8. Assist in credit and collection activities.
  9. Manage the order credit approval process to avoid delays and past due orders.
  10. Prepare and manage submittals and orders accurately to reduce manual overrides and allowances.
  11. Coordinate and manage quotes and orders in accordance with guidelines for residential districts.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 1 year of related experience. Requires strong abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating, and managing time.
  • Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Effective at written and verbal communication.
  • Requires intermediate industry and product knowledge.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.

This position offers a base salary and a commission-based plus bonus incentive plan. The total target compensation range for this role is $62,480 to $82,005 (90% base salary plus 10% commission, assuming attainment at plan), and the role also qualifies for additional business objectives incentives. Compensation is based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and education. This is a new role with one open position.

This position is based in the office, Monday through Friday.
