Job Summary
We're Lendz, a modern mortgage lender building a team as forward-thinking as our approach. We're looking for a sharp, resourceful, and people-focused Senior HR Generalist to own everything HR (except recruiting) and keep our People Operations running smoothly.
In this role, you'll design and deliver programs that make Lendz a place where great people do their best work — from benefits and performance management to learning initiatives and culture-building projects. If you're equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to solve a problem today and mapping out a better process for tomorrow, we want to meet you.
This role is based at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters, with flexibility to work from home two days a week once training is complete.
What You'll Do
Champion Learning & Growth
- Identify gaps in training and career development across the company.
- Design, launch, and see through L&D programs from concept to implementation and measurement.
- Create opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth at every level.
Own Benefits & Compensation
- Lead day-to-day benefits administration as the go-to resource for employees.
- Support benefits strategy and partner on initiatives to keep plans competitive.
Strengthen Performance Management
- Coordinate and improve performance review cycles and continuous feedback, ensuring feedback and development are ongoing. Gather, report results, and suggest improvements to leadership.
- Partner with managers to weave feedback and growth conversations into everyday work.
Keep Us Compliant & Current
- Maintain and update HR policies and handbook.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws — you don't need to be a legal expert, but you do need to be resourceful and confident in figuring it out.
Elevate the Employee Experience
- Build programs that boost engagement, recognition, and culture.
- Develop initiatives that make employees feel valued and supported throughout their journey at Lendz.
Streamline Processes with Tech
- Leverage technology and embrace AI to simplify operations and improve the employee experience.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and see projects through from idea to successful implementation.
Partner on Talent & Onboarding
- Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure smooth, high-touch onboarding
- Continuously improve new-hire experiences, making Day 1 (and beyond) feel engaging and impactful.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a growing company environment.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through
- Passion for both benefits strategy/administration and building L&D programs.
- A builder's mindset — comfortable in the details but excited to innovate.
- Positive, collaborative, and "no task too small" mindset
- Tech-savvy and eager to leverage tools to make work better.
- Excellent communicator with a people-first, service-oriented approach.
- Resourceful and proactive — you don't need every answer, but you know how to find them.
Why You'll Love It Here
- Own the full spectrum of HR (minus recruiting) in a company that values innovation and people-first thinking.
- Work directly with leadership and help shape our HR strategy.
- Freedom to propose, build, and lead new initiatives from day one.
- A culture that embraces continuous improvement and gives you room to grow into a trusted HR leader.
- Tech-forward systems and supportive teammates who want to win together.
- Competitive benefits — including highly subsidized health care, vision, dental, and life insurance, plus 401(k).
- 15 days PTO to start + 9 paid holidays.
