Workplace Services Assistant
LendingClub's Workplace Services team is seeking a Workplace Services Assistant to help make our San Francisco headquarters functional, welcoming, and aligned with our brand standards. In this role, you'll help create an environment where employees can do their best work, our spaces remain organized and operational, and every visitor has an exceptional experience. What You'll Do
Operational Excellence
- Oversee break rooms: Ensure food and beverage programs are stocked and maintained; coordinate cleaning, equipment repair, and vendor responsiveness
- Manage conference and training rooms: Reset and organize furniture, check that A/V equipment and whiteboards are operational, and maintain room cleanliness and supplies
- Conduct storage room audits: Review and organize spaces, coordinate purges of unused items, and ensure functional storage management.
- Champion our brand: Ensure all workplace spaces—including conference rooms, amenity areas, and common spaces—reflect LendingClub's brand standards in both appearance and functionality
Maintenance and Facilities Coordination
- Coordinate minor repairs and maintenance of furniture, equipment, and building systems (e.g., HVAC, security, flooring, FM200)
- Partner with building management and external vendors for maintenance, service, and construction requests
- Manage vendor relationships (janitorial, repair, facilities), ensuring timely and quality work
Employee and Guest Support
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all employees and guests
- Respond promptly to help tickets (e.g., including furniture setup, repairs, ergonomic installations, event setups)
- Support space moves, additions, and changes, and assist with onboarding new employees using space management tools
- Collaborate with the TechOps and People Success teams to deliver workplace-related technology, amenities, and ergonomic solutions
Reception & Front Desk Operations
- Greet and assist employees, visitors, and vendors with professionalism and warmth
- Manage visitor check-in/check-out, issue badges, and notify hosts
- Answer and route calls, emails, and inquiries
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area that reflects our company culture
Security & Access Control
- Monitor and enforce security access protocols in line with company security procedures
- Support Emergency Response Team training, documentation, and engagement
- Partner with the Physical Security team on badge issuance, access provisioning, audits, and incident reporting
- Serve as the first point of contact for security-related questions or concerns and follow escalation protocols when needed
About You
- 2+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree or higher; or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Strong customer service orientation and positive, professional demeanor
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt efficiently in a changing environment
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with facilities management or work order systems a plus
- Comfortable using hand tools and ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
- Can work independently, self-motivated, proactive, and dependable in following through on goals and action items
- Detail-oriented and continuously looking for ways to improve processes and efficiency
- Experience leading small projects or process improvements is a plus
Work Location: San Francisco
The above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role's team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role's success, and remote placement will not be considered. LendingClub offers relocation, based on actual job level.
Time Zone Requirements: Primarily PT
Travel Requirements: As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations, as needed.
Compensation: The target base pay range for this position is $25-29/hr. The base pay of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location.
