Operations Support Analyst - East

Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking an Operations Support Analyst on our VA East Operations team supporting the backend. The Operations Support Analyst serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients, interfacing with VA representatives and internal team members to provide case specific feedback. Ensures the timeliness and quality of medical reports by preemptively triaging cases, analyzing trends and data, addressing inconsistencies and taking action in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal, external clients and VA representatives for problem resolution
  • Interface with physicians and healthcare extenders and provide case specific feedback
  • Ensure the timeliness and quality of medical reports by analyzing trends ensuring contractual obligations are met or exceeded
  • Responsible for determining and validating inconsistencies within referrals and taking action to address in a timely manner
  • Provide ongoing cases specific physician training based on trend and data analysis
  • Manages the assignment of caseload and/or follow-up action items to appropriate staff
  • Provide quality assurance for general medical and specialty examination reports as needed
  • Investigate client inquiries for case clarifications as needed
  • Train, coach and develop employees as necessary
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or (GED)
  • 0 to 1 year of experience as a Medical QA Specialist or related field (e.g., project management, operations, analytics, etc.)
  • Vocational training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned Tasks, preferably in a medical related area of study (i.e. LVN, LPN, EMT, MA, Military Medic, etc.).
  • Medical background and experience reviewing medical reports
  • Direct healthcare experience in medical case management quality assurance to include the review of complex multi-focal medical reports for quality, clarity, thoroughness and insightful medical explanation
  • If applicable, must be able to pass a federal background check and/or obtain and maintain additional clearances as specified by the contract (e.g., NACI, PIV, SMS, TMS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related medical or health-care field
  • Extensive experience as a Medical QA Specialist or related field (e.g., project management, operations, analytics, etc.)
  • Critical Thinking with the ability to work independently
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
  • Working knowledge of case management software, electronic medical records and medical databases (eprocess)

Additional Information: (only add applicable items)

  • Training: Team training by Mentor and Lead as applicable
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5:30 PM with some flexibility
