Network Engineering/Operations Site Lead

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineering/Operations Site Lead at Fort Belvoir, VA to support operations on a high-profile DoD contract. The Integrated Information Technology Support Services program provides enterprise-wide IT support for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to consolidate, modernize, and maintain the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRA's internal and external mission partners operating worldwide.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Network Engineering/Operations Site Lead for a team of 13 IT professionals supporting worldwide strategic and tactical communications initiatives for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
  • Oversee operational team efforts to validate proper installation, operation, and maintenance practices on three distinct Department of Defense enclaves supporting 5000+ users with over 7500 end point devices worldwide.
  • Communicate project and policy-related information to government and civilian customers at all levels of technical and operational leadership.
  • Provide strategic leadership, technical consultation, and operational support for enterprise-wide IT network.
  • Ensure DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide compliance for all network equipment.
  • Execute and/or supervise circuit action support utilizing DISA Storefront for circuit activation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Initiate and execute Remedy and ServiceNow requests for change and configuration management.
  • Provide networking technical subject matter expertise and validation of Bill of Material requests in support of network architecture modernization.
  • Provide clear and concise written and oral communications; develop and present briefs at the CEO / SES level.
  • Creation and execution of Plan of Action & Milestones to fix identified cybersecurity vulnerabilities or unmet security controls within an organization's information system.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience. Specific experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience managing and supervising at least 5 employees of various labor categories and skills in a complex medium to large IT infrastructure program (preferably for the Department of Defense)
  • Active Security+ CE and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Cisco Certified Network Practitioner
  • ITIL4 Foundations and higher
  • Experience with the following technologies: Cisco Identity Services Engine, Cisco Layer 2 & 3 switches and routers, Cisco Unified Call Manager, Dell Versa, F5 Load Balancer, and General Dynamics Tactical Local Area Network Encryptors.
