Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions is a leading supplier of security screening technologies, including X-ray, Millimetre Wave Body Scanning, and IMS (Ion Mobility Spectrometry) Explosive Trace Detection, to various industries in the Asia Pacific Region and worldwide.

Your New Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Tasmania to support our latest screening technologies across Tasmania. Working closely with established Field Service Engineers based in Hobart & Launceston, this role involves servicing customer sites across the state.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance, upgrades and repairs at customer sites.
  • Managing customer relationships and providing support both in person and via the phone.
  • Completing service, expense and weekly time reports.
  • Responding to customer issues and seeing them through to resolution.
  • Contributing to the team's focus on improving service delivery performance.
  • Participating in ongoing training to up-skill and enhance product knowledge.

What You'll Bring to Make An Impact:

  • Experience servicing electronic and mechanical equipment.
  • A good understanding of computers and Windows operating systems (automation programming and/or Linux OS experience desirable).
  • A current driver's license and the ability to travel across Tasmania, including at short notice as part of the on-call roster.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes will be highly regarded.

This position requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and able to hold and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
