Legacy Supply Chain is currently seeking a Yard Operations Gate Clerk/Dispatcher to support our customer, GE Appliances, inside Appliance Park. The successful candidates will utilize company provided software and two-way radios to dispatch approximately 15 drivers per shift, ensuring workflow is completed as needed. This position will also work within the Gate Operations to help process inbound/outbound drivers and loads coming in and out of the Appliance Park. This is a direct hire full time position that offers competitive compensation with paid holidays, vacation, and 401k plan with up to a 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

Saturday and Sunday from 6:00pm to 6:00am, Monday and Tuesday from 11:00pm to 7:00am. Starting pay - $19.00 per hour.

Job Details

What to expect as a Yard Operations Gate Clerk/Dispatcher:

• Process inbound/outbound drivers through TrackX/CICS
• Verify SCAC, trailer numbers and correct paperwork are provided at time of arrival.
• Verify Bill of Lading matches physical trailer upon departure of Appliance Park.
• Verify trailer accuracy by performing lot checks in a company vehicle.
• Communicate shift needs efficiently with Spotters & customers
• Work with customer leaders to identify yard moves needed
• Dispatch yard moves according to specific needs
• Maintain equipment for operational success
• Troubleshoot issues as it pertains to daily operations
• Contact appropriate vendors for repairs to equipment as needed
• Verify driver ID for CTPAT regulations
• Assign all RFID tags and maintain tag inventory
• Troubleshoot any paperwork, systems, or appointment discrepancies
• File all necessary paperwork
• Follow International discrepancy process when necessary
• Identify any safety related or non-compliance issues and address with management as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in team-oriented environment
• Transportation or warehouse experience preferred
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent judgment and decision making
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Application Software, including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Excellent customer service
