Datacenter Operations Engineer - Infrastructure

Join a global cloud provider and take your career to the next level in datacenter operations! We are looking for a Datacenter Operations Engineer to support our growing infrastructure in Haarlem. This hands-on role focuses on server hardware, installations, and troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operations for our customers. You will work closely with the Technical Support team and collaborate with other Leaseweb datacenters.

What is the role about?

• Deploy and maintain servers, private racks, colocation spaces, and other critical infrastructure.
• Perform Windows and Linux server installations, including hardware and software configuration.
• Manage hardware and software updates to ensure optimal performance.
• Handle server recovery, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Oversee hardware and spare parts replacements.
• Resolve technical support tickets and collaborate closely with Level 1 support.
• Maintain detailed documentation based on client and company requirements.
• Support projects related to provisioning new servers or relocating existing ones.
• Coordinate with other datacenter teams within Leaseweb to ensure seamless operations.

What we're looking for:

• Hands-on experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, or Supermicro preferred).
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with server building, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate effectively both internally with different teams and departments as well as with customers.
• A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts.
• Driver's License and eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
