Lean Technologies is building the financial data infrastructure for the MENA region. We operate in a highly regulated, security-sensitive environment powering mission-critical financial services with robust SLAs, strong security controls, and scalable, high-performance systems.
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll help build and run our hybrid-cloud platform across multiple regions and environments. You'll contribute to Kubernetes operations, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and observability—working closely with Senior DevOps/SREs to keep the platform secure, fast, and reliable.
Kubernetes: Deploy, upgrade, and support clusters in GCP and OCI; handle day-2 operations (rollouts, node pools, autoscaling) and troubleshoot common issues.
CI/CD: Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for microservices using GitHub Actions/Jenkins; improve build speed, test coverage, and release automation.
Infrastructure as Code: Contribute Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks for multi-region environments; follow GitOps practices for consistent deployments.
Observability: Operate and tune monitoring/alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK), create actionable dashboards and SLO-aligned alerts.
Reliability: Participate in on-call rotations, assist with incident response, and contribute to post-incident reviews and runbooks.
Automation: Script routine tasks (provisioning, scaling, configuration, patching) using Bash and Python/Go.
Security & Compliance: Implement hardening baselines (e.g., CIS L1), secrets management, and least-privilege policies; follow SOC 2 / ISO 27001 practices.
Collaboration: Partner with product and engineering teams to improve platform tooling and developer experience.
3–5 years in DevOps/SRE or platform engineering roles.
Solid knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, firewall rules).
Hands-on with Kubernetes/Helm/containers (day-2 ops and troubleshooting).
Terraform for infra automation; familiarity with Ansible or similar CM tools.
Scripting with Bash and at least one of Python or Go.
Cloud experience with GCP or OCI (comfortable learning the other).
CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD (GitOps).
Logging & tracing: ELK, OpenTelemetry; metrics with Prometheus.
Operational exposure to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis (backup/restore, HA basics).
Security: hardening, IAM design, vulnerability scanning, WAF/NGFW familiarity.
Knowledge of Cloudflare or other edge/security platforms.
Experience in fintech or other regulated industries.
Service mesh exposure (Istio/Linkerd) is a plus.
Strong documentation habits (runbooks, SOPs, incident notes).
Take ownership of a product area (e.g., observability stack, cluster lifecycle, or CI/CD platform).
Lead incident bridges and author RCAs with clear action items.
Design reusable Terraform modules and champion GitOps maturity.
Contribute to security/compliance evidence and control automation.
NB. While we think the above experience could be important, we're keen to hear from people that believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply!!
