Electronics Engineering - Fall Internship 2025

The Electronics Engineering Intern position offers candidates an opportunity to work, contribute, and apply academic skills in a corporate setting with industry professionals. This position mainly involves validation testing on prototype electronic equipment, but may include assistance on similar new product designs and support of fielded IoT devices.

Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)

  1. Support validation testing for new product designs to established requirements.
  2. Set up and operate lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, data loggers, signal generators, power supplies and loads.
  3. Maintain lab organization and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  4. Collect, analyze, and document test data to evaluate system performance and compliance with specifications.
  5. Produce clear, detailed, and organized test reports.
  6. Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware and firmware issues.
  7. Assist in the design and construction of simple fixtures as well as automated test systems for validation and production testing of new and existing products.
  8. Develop user documentation for new products
  9. Provide support to electronics engineering staff as needed.
  10. Assist with the day-to-day management of fielded IoT based systems involving activations, maintenance and some troubleshooting.
  11. Maintain lab organization and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Experience, Education, & License Requirements:

  • Working towards a degree in an Engineering Discipline, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
  • If currently pursuing a degree, a minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
  • Completion of junior/senior year of college
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 8 weeks

Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with product testing is strongly desired.
  • Basic understanding of embedded systems, analog/digital electronics, and sensor technologies.
  • Familiarity with lab instrumentation and data acquisition tools.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
