About This Role

Looking for an opportunity for hands-on experience in digital marketing? Then our internship may be for you! The internship runs for four months and pays $13.00 per hour. As a Digital Marketing Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience optimizing web content for search engines and assisting in the development of social media campaigns. This is a great opportunity to grow your digital marketing skillset while contributing to meaningful projects. The Digital Marketing Intern must be able to work up to 29 hours a week in our hybrid flexible workplace environment. For example, someone may have class in the morning on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and in the late afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They could work around their class schedules as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush and Google Search Console.
  • Optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking).
  • Help identify and fix technical SEO issues (broken links, redirects, crawl errors).
  • Assist in creating or updating content to align with SEO best practices.
  • Monitor rankings and traffic using analytics tools and compile simple reports.
  • Assist in measuring the effectiveness of specific SEO strategies by reporting from a variety of sources (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Majestic, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.).
  • Draft and schedule social media posts for platforms like LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook and Instagram.
  • Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, clicks) and compile simple reports.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with basic SEO concepts and social media platforms.
  • Comfortable working with tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and eager to learn.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with others – a team player.
  • Intrinsically motivated to create the best content on the web.
  • Ability to adopt and implement company style guidelines.
