Job Summary and Qualifications:

  • You will be an active administrative member of the Nursing Management Team, assuming 24-hour responsibility in directing and coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients on the Women's Services departments.
  • Principle responsibilities include strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance and quality improvement.
  • You will maintain current competency with nursing skills required for the assigned departments, and demonstrates knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice in the assigned area.
  • You will exhibit knowledge regarding the healthcare system and utilize resources, including FTEs, efficiently and effectively, use benchmarks and data to monitor quality and improvement process, and coordinate the planning of strategies to assure a supportive environment for the professional practice of nursing.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • BSN Preferred, must be actively seeking within six months of hire
  • MSN preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role in an acute care hospital
  • Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E, and AWHON as appropriate for area
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership/ management and establishing interpersonal relationships necessary to promote an effective working environment
