Sr. Mirth Integration Engineer - Remote Eligible

Senior Mirth Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mirth Engineer to work on a six month+, remote contract. Our customer's Data Integrations & AI Product team is expanding its HL7 integration capabilities using Mirth Connect as the primary engine. With over 170 interfaces planned across EMRs like WellSky and Medhost, we're seeking a Mirth SME to join a small, agile team and help scale our integration efforts. This engineer will play a critical role in building and optimizing Mirth channels, automating monitoring and alerting, and ensuring accurate routing of HL7 messages using metadata lookups and cache validation. The work is not overly complex, but it requires someone who can hit the ground running and bring deep Mirth experience to the table.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deploy HL7 interfaces using Mirth Connect and JavaScript customizations.
• Implement routing logic using MMLP, metadata extraction, and cache-based validation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to scale interface development across 2025–2026.
• Build automation for monitoring and alerting of Mirth channels.
• Work within a pre-built Azure DEV and SIT environment.
• Support integrations with WellSky and Medhost EMRs.
• Assist in preparing for future FHIR-based integrations.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with FHIR and NCPDP standards.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud deployments.
• Exposure to WellSky, Medhost, or other EMRs.
• Basic SQL for data lookups and transformations.

Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
