Quality Engineer

Looking to hire a Quality Engineer to champion quality, consistency, and process improvement across the float glass manufacturing process. Will implement and maintain robust quality control systems through adhering to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements, IATF 16949:2016 and company-specific quality standards. Will identify areas for process optimization and implement corrective actions to prevent future defects. Will also work closely with cross-functional teams to solve problems and drive motivation and innovation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering (Ceramics, Glass, Materials or Chemical Engineering)
  • 3-5 years experience in glass manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of glass melting and manufacturing processes
  • Analytical skills to troubleshoot Hot End processes
  • Experience with statistical methods and analysis
  • Ability to work full-time and overtime as required
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and recall
  • Must be able to use Microsoft office programs, such as word, excel, and power point
  • Must be able to travel (<10%)
  • Exhibit strong judgment relating to confidential matters
  • Strong initiative, and desire to succeed
  • Must have excellent data entry skills
  • Must be able to effectively present information to a group
  • Must be able to effectively prepare presentations

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Richmond, KY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $41.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
