Minimum Requirements
Physical Requirement & Working Conditions: Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition Related field
Other Minimums:
Must provide one's own source of transportation
Completion of a pre-professional experience program accredited/approved by the American Dietetic Association
Must be eligible for certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration at time of application
Must wear personal protective equipment as mandated by OSHA
Must work a varied schedule
Special Requirements:
Must be certified as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration within one year of employment
Must be licensed as a Dietitian or certified as a Nutritionist by the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists within one year of employment
Diabetes Prevention and Education Program: In accordance with KRS 309.325 to 309.339, dietitians performing diabetes education must be a Licensed Diabetes Educator or be eligible for licensure within six months of date of employment
Women Infants and Children (WIC): Must be a certified lactation counselor or specialist or obtain within six months of employment
