Mechanical Maintenance Technician

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role based in Louisville, responsible for the maintenance and repair of custom-built machinery. This position requires strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work with a range of mechanical and integrated systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime.
• Conduct scheduled inspections in line with the preventive maintenance plan and resolve any issues.
• Continuously optimize preventive maintenance intervals to balance efficiency and reliability.
• Respond promptly to urgent assistance requests from line operators.
• Diagnose and repair equipment faults, including mechanical and control system issues.
• Coordinate external support when needed.
• Maintain clear communication with line and factory managers during fault resolution.
• Manage customer expectations while upholding company standards.
• Support project installation and commissioning activities across the region.
• Work closely with Project Delivery Managers for smooth handovers.
• Conduct site equipment inspections and provide technical reports.
• Analyze recurring equipment faults to identify root causes.
• Recommend and implement design or maintenance changes.
• Perform small-scale equipment modifications directly or manage external contractors for larger changes.

Essential Skills:

• 5–10 years post-qualification experience with high-technology or special-purpose machinery.
• Solid understanding of control systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical components.
• Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coach and guide operators and customers.
• Works effectively in cross-functional teams and under time pressure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) systems is a plus.
• Ability to write and maintain SOPs and fault-finding documents.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $72.80 - $85000.00/yr.
