Requirements for the position include a 4-year degree in an applicable field or qualifying field experience in live production. Candidates should have working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, basic accounting skills, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to travel at least 75% of the time. They must also be willing to accept open live positions regardless of location unless other arrangements are specified at the time of program entry. The individual should be able to take on difficult tasks and learn from them. They will work with the Live Production and Live Tech Services daily.

Primary job responsibilities and KPIs include completing 4-week rotations in breeder tech services, broiler tech services, feed mill tech services, and hatchery tech services, successfully completing a summer and winter ventilation program, and working with individual complexes to improve pullet and breeder results, broiler results, hatchery results, and feed mill results. The trainee will be required to travel to complexes within all bird groups and will be responsible for learning the day-to-day activities of live managers, broiler managers, breeder managers, and hatchery managers as well as gain knowledge in areas of veterinary medicine, broiler nutrition, breeder nutrition, broiler tech services, breeder tech services, and hatchery services.
