Electrical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our new product engineering group. You will play a vital role in multiple product launches over the next 12-18 months. This position involves both theoretical and hands-on work at the circuit and microcontroller level.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test microcontroller-based designs.
  • Perform schematic layouts and circuit analysis.
  • Conduct life cycle development tasks.
  • Coordinate and manage regulatory conformance with FCC, UL, and other standards.
  • Prepare presentations, technical reports, and patent disclosures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of changes, advancements, and improvements within the area of assignment or specialization and incorporate these improvements where applicable.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in PCB design and layout using Altium.
  • Experience with microcontroller design and testing.
  • Electrical engineering skills, particularly in schematic and test development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or Physics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Altium PCB Layout.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on test specification experience.

Work Environment:

This position is based on-site in a small engineering and testing facility with fewer than 50 employees. You will work collaboratively with a team of 8, in a business casual environment, interacting with partners globally. The role offers 2 weeks of PTO and 6 major holidays. It is a great opportunity to gain experience in supporting new product initiatives within a long-term consulting engagement.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
