Airgas is hiring for a Counter Sales Associate/Backup CDL Route Driver in Concord NC Here!

• Forklift training and certification provided
• HazMat preferred (60 day period to obtain for right candidate)
• Monday - Friday, start time 7 am - Home daily
• Benefits eligibility: 30 days
• Possible weekends (on call)

Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers

Assisting customers through email, telephone, and walk-ins

Solicit sales from new and existing customers, managing associated paperwork for future reference

Assist customers with loading/unloading cylinders, provide guidance on equipment use and needed materials

Monitor and maintain proper hardgoods and cylinder levels to minimize emergencies

Manage accounts receivable, discussing past-due accounts and collecting payments

Ensure accurate completion of paperwork, including coding, costing, and pricing

Act as Backup Driver when necessary

Operate equipment like forklifts as required

Are you a match?

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL
• Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 60 days of being hired
• Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check
• DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required
• Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures
• Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace
• Adherence to safety regulations and policies

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience
• Touch freight delivery experience
