Sales Outfitter Position

The Sales Outfitter performs various selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.

Essential functions include: supporting a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers; demonstrating products to customers; replenishing product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines; remaining a product "expert" through ongoing product knowledge training; remaining knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintaining pricing and signing; assisting with "seasonal" floor merchandise moves; restocking merchandise as required; keeping work area clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies; following all company policies and procedures; providing a legendary experience for every customer by assisting customers in making buying decisions.

Experience/qualifications include: a minimum degree of high school education or equivalent experience; ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers; ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and other associates; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers; ability to operate a computerized point of sale register system.

Travel requirements include: none.

Physical requirements include: constantly standing and/or walking during shift; occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.; constantly communicating with others to exchange information; occasionally repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools; occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment; light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed); occasionally working in tight and confined spaces; occasionally working in noisy environments.

Independent judgment is required to complete work assignments, often making recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
