Full Time Platform Manager - ServiceNow
Kwik Trip, Inc.'s Information Technology Department is seeking a full-time Platform Manager to join our team of IT based Business Analysts. As the Platform Manager, you will be at the forefront of our ServiceNow ecosystem, responsible for shaping and optimizing the platform to drive business success. Your extensive knowledge and architectural expertise will be instrumental in achieving our platform goals. You will also be responsible for providing leadership to a technical team that will assist in the support and maintenance of those platforms.
Role:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive governance strategy, including data management, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain a strategic roadmap for the platform, aligning with business objectives.
- Oversee the integrations between the platform and other systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Provide leadership and mentorship for team of Platform Developers or other similar roles pertaining to platform.
- Lead customization efforts, including workflow automation, custom objects, and fields, to meet business requirements.
- Implement best practices for data quality, cleansing, and deduplication.
- Manage relationships with platform vendors and third-party solution providers.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the solutions, addressing any issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of platform configurations, integrations, and customizations.
- Perform leadership activities including performance appraisable activities, goal setting, hiring, ongoing mentoring, and resource alignment.
- Work with other BA/PM group leadership and IT leadership to implement new processes and objectives in the spirit of continuous improvement.
- Utilize JIRA, ServiceNow, and Scrum methodologies to help with defining, planning, testing, and prioritization of work for supported platforms.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years hands-on experience working within ServiceNow.
- Platform certification(s) are a plus.
Candidates should possess the following:
- A commitment to staying updated on platform best practices and emerging technologies.
- Deep understanding of system architectures to make informed decisions, ensure scalability, and optimize performance.
- Experience working with API(s), CSS, JavaScript
- Knowledge of Agile project management and ITIL methodology
- Understanding of SQL and standardized relational database design
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow development and deployment.
- Ability to manage and maintain version control for scoped applications and customizations within ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of enterprise reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS)
- Previous experience working with executive management, employing the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience or knowledge of current security best practices and procedures
- Ability to provide leadership, coaching, and guidance.
- Strong business orientation.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Project, Outlook, etc.)

- Ability to work with IT Management and Networking Services group to determine long-term system platforms & roadmaps for the implementation of or migration to new infrastructure.
- Ability to analyze complex systems, anticipate future needs, and provide concise, thorough solutions.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, daytime hours, or as needed to perform duties.
