Business Development And Marketing Manager

We're looking for an experienced Business Development (BD) and Marketing Manager to partner with technical teams and senior stakeholders across Kent, London and Sussex with experience in proposals and tendering.

You'll work across multiple projects and campaigns, supporting fee earners and Partners to deliver targeted BD initiatives that align with firmwide strategy.

This role focuses on growing client relationships, winning new business, and strengthening intermediary networks, across sectors, service lines and the Kent region using the full marketing mix.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract based at our Chatham office, with a hybrid working arrangement of a minimum of three days per week in the office.

About The Role

As BD and Marketing Manager, you'll work with Partners and teams to:

  • Manage and respond to proposals, ITTs and pitch opportunities
  • Scope and de-brief with external clients when pitching
  • Identify and target new business opportunities
  • Deepen relationships with key clients and referrers
  • Introduce additional services to existing clients
  • Manage, support and lead events, sponsorships, and forums across regions, sectors and service lines
  • Reviewing and drafting service and sector driven content and documents

You'll be embedded in the region and service line, and work as part of a wider BD & Marketing team. Collaboration is key and you will connect with Marketing, Digital, HR, IT, and external providers to deliver BD activity end-to-end.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Proven experience as a BD and Marketing Manager in a professional services environment (accountancy or legal)
  • Strong relationship-building and project management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and deliver BD campaigns across sectors and markets
  • Comfortable advising senior stakeholders and leading on pitches, proposals and client targeting
  • Commercially minded, organised and confident in client-facing activity
