Who leads operations activities, including the planning, organizing and execution.
The Head of Operations contributes to overall strategy development. You will oversee all operational aspects of our company strategy. You will help set strategic goals and be responsible for communication of operations information to other stakeholders in the business.
Directing all our local operational activities to ensure that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
Your specific tasks include:
Act as the company's main advisor on all issues relating to local operational and distribution functions and keep abreast of all latest developments to ensure that the company maintains a competitive position
Create, develop and deliver budget plans that align with our company wide strategy
Develop and propose annual business plans for a given area or department, ensuring alignment with strategy. Recommend financial and headcount budgets; propose business targets (e.g., revenues or other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)); and schedule key activities/projects, ensuring integration with other elements of the organization.
Manage the development and/or delivery of a significant element of an organizational change management initiative for a substantial department/area.
Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
Manage a significant operational area for the organization including Supply chain E2E.
Evaluate the capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities. Implement the organization's formal development frameworks within the area of responsibility. Coach and mentor others to support the development of the organization's talent pool. Be a people manager close to the operations.
Manage the development and delivery of significant organizational change programs
Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
Identify and manage stakeholders up to management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Oversee the SOP development strategy implementation for numerous large-scale operations boasting immense complexity, broad scope, and substantial impact.
Develop tactical plans for optimizing resources and assets and maintaining first class customer service
We are looking for candidates with:
Master's Degree Equivalent Level of Work Experience
Extensive operations and distribution management experience
In depth Knowledge and experience providing expert competence (Over 10 years to 15 years)
Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework. (Over 6 years to 10 years)
Be able to work in a matrix organization
Analytical skills to evaluate data and performance/operations metrics.
