Breakout is the fastest-growing crypto prop trading firm in the world, backed by Kraken - one of the longest-running and most trusted crypto exchanges, founded in 2011. We fund skilled crypto traders with real capital, take on the risk, and pay them a share of the profits. Since launching in November 2023, we have paid our traders over $38M and counting.
We are solving a trust problem in an industry that earned its bad reputation. Most prop firms change rules after the fact, deny payouts on technicalities, or disappear overnight. Breakout was built to be the opposite: consistent rules since day one, on-demand payouts 24/7, and the financial backing of a publicly known parent. That is why traders choose us, and it is why we are scaling fast.
Breakout exists to give serious crypto traders access to meaningful capital without putting their personal savings on the line. We are obsessive about trader experience, rule transparency, and doing right by the people who trust us with their time and money. We move fast, ship constantly, and treat marketing as a core growth engine - not a support function.
Before you apply, spend some time on breakoutprop.com. Read the rules. Look at the public payout leaderboard. Join our Discord and scroll the #payouts channel. Our growth story is built on proof, and the proof is all there to see.
Kraken backs Breakout because they believe crypto prop is one of the biggest unlocks in the industry for the next decade. We are building the firm that defines the category.
Own the global performance marketing strategy across every paid channel Breakout invests in - Meta, Google, TikTok, X, Reddit, YouTube, programmatic, endemic crypto media, and beyond.
Set and manage budget, forecasts, and channel mix across regions and customer segments, with full accountability for CAC, payback, and ROAS against our targets.
Run every ad account, every day. You will be in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads Manager, and every other platform we buy on - briefing, building, launching, optimising, and killing campaigns yourself. This is a hands-on role, not a management role.
Partner with Performance Creative Designer to design, test, and iterate creative at volume across video, static, and motion. You do not design ads, but you know what makes a winning one and can brief it into existence.
Build and maintain a structured testing roadmap across new and emerging channels (web3 DSPs, endemic crypto publishers, gaming, CTV, beta ad products) with clear success criteria and kill rules.
Work with Analytics and BI to build the measurement and attribution infrastructure a modern performance program needs - MMP implementation, pixel hygiene, server-side tracking, incrementality testing.
Partner with Lifecycle, Content, Affiliate, and Product to connect paid to the full funnel so acquisition compounds with activation and retention.
Partner with Payward's (Kraken's) performance marketing team to trade frameworks, channel learnings, and live test results. Use their data and platform relationships where they accelerate what you are doing at Breakout, and feed your best insights back to the wider group.
Translate test learnings into repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and documentation the whole marketing org can draw from.
Present results, forecasts, and strategic bets directly to Breakout and Kraken leadership.
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
6+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience, with a clear track record of building or running paid acquisition programs at scale in a high-growth environment.
Demonstrated success running multi-million-dollar paid budgets across a mix of channels, with real accountability for CAC and payback - not just impressions and clicks.
Deep hands-on experience across the major performance channels: Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, X, Reddit, and programmatic, plus comfort exploring emerging platforms.
Strong command of attribution, MMPs (Appsflyer, Branch), and incrementality measurement. You know when to trust a platform metric and when to stress-test it.
Sharp creative instincts. You can brief, review, and iterate on creative alongside your designer without getting lost in the craft.
Analytical depth. At home in spreadsheets, dashboards, and SQL-adjacent work. You build your own models to pressure-test assumptions before anyone else does.
Comfortable being both the strategist and the operator. You can pitch a channel test to leadership on Monday, build and launch it yourself on Tuesday, and translate the first read into a board-ready narrative by Friday.
Crypto knowledge or deep fluency in crypto, trading, or an adjacent high-intent category. You understand who our traders are and what they care about.
Thrives in a fast-paced, remote, outcome-driven environment. You do not need permission to run a test, and you do not mind showing your work when it does not land.
Prior experience in prop trading, leverage trading, futures, or regulated financial products.
Experience running global, multi-region paid acquisition with localised channel mixes and budgets.
