Our brand is rooted in innovation, quality, and purpose, and we are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as our Head of Business Development & Agile Working.
As the Director of Sales, Natural/Specialty - West, you will manage the sales efforts for outlined Natural/Specialty customers and distributor-based business in the US. Working directly with the VP of Sales on strategy and key growth initiatives, this role will also be responsible for strategic customer ownership, team management and broker management in the outlined region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve assigned volume and profit goals for the Natural/Specialty-West Team
- Drive market share growth by planning and executing sales and promotional plans with brokers, distributors, and retailers
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with key customers, including Sprouts, Stater Brothers, Save Mart, and Smart and Final
- Manage brokers and distributor partners to achieve annual business goals
- Own and manage the KEHE corporate relationship and warehouse network, including new item setup, inventory planning, and management
- Develop and execute strategic business plans for the broker network to support volume and product initiatives
- Ensure brokers have necessary tools and assets to execute business plans efficiently
- Lead effective category reviews with customers to drive business growth, including;
- Increasing distribution on base and new items
- Meeting promotional revenue objectives by tactic, price point, and selling event
- Utilize data management tools to create compelling presentations for retailers in collaboration with the Brand Team
- Support the Western Regional Sales Manager in optimizing customer interactions and reaching company goals, including;
- Effective application of promo and pricing strategies by customer and category
- Consistent retail execution of category objectives
- Manage administrative duties, including internal trackers, documents, and compliance across the Natural/Specialty West team
- Plan and manage promotional calendars and trade spend for the customer base and territory
- Manage team travel expenses in a cost-effective manner
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in natural channel food sales, utilizing brokers and key account experience
- Experience working for a fast-growing food company
- Strong organizational, negotiating, quantitative, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, planning, and project management skills
- Ability to analyze data and develop innovative recommendations and solutions
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Self-starter with a high degree of flexibility and drive
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of accomplishments
- Ability to multi-task while remaining customer-focused
- Strong orientation for quality and results
- Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of the packaged food business
- Ability to effectively use syndicated data to drive business decisions
- Ability to create effective retailer presentations to achieve specific goals
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
New Hire Base Salary Range: $102,100.00 - $127,600.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
