Engineering Project Lead For Kraft Heinz Factory In Utrecht

As Engineering Project Lead for the Kraft Heinz factory in Utrecht, you are responsible for leading all Capex projects within the factory—from concept to capitalization—and ensuring a safe, compliant, timely, and budgetary completion.

Kraft Heinz Utrecht consists of three factories under one roof, with various production lines, technologies, and processes. We use both modern and older machines. Investments range from replacing machines due to end-of-life, improving working conditions, and compliance with laws and regulations, to machine and process adaptations for product innovation, energy reduction, and increasing efficiency of our production lines.

In our characteristic factory in Utrecht, we produce some of the Netherlands' most beloved A-brands. While Kraft Heinz is often associated with Heinz Ketchup, in Utrecht, it's about iconic brands like De Ruijter, Karvan Cévitam, Roosvicee, Venz, and Brinta. Our factory combines traditional and modern production lines with various technologies and processes, creating a diverse and challenging work environment. We are part of a global company, but our location has a familial atmosphere. The organizational structure is flat and accessible: from operator to manager, everyone is approachable. Responsibilities:

• Portfolio management of Capex projects
• Leading project development, execution, and completion
• Cross-functional coordination
• AOP and masterplan ownership

Desired experience and skills:

• Strong technical expertise in engineering and capital project management
• Proven experience with CAPEX projects in production or industrial environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the factory level
• High analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in leading people and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Thorough knowledge of safety, environmental, quality, and technical standards
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
• Affinity with a FMCG food environment
• Well-organized and able to prioritize
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Critical thinking and proactive attitude

Work-related considerations:

• Visits to production areas may be hindered by machinery noise and temperature differences.
• Wearing personal protective equipment is required.

• You report to the Continuous Improvement Manager.
