Area Sales Manager

Reporting directly to the Managing Director – Distributor Business, we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to manage our Distributor sales activities. Based in our Dubai office, the successful candidate will work closely with our Distributors in countries to create sales strategies and drive sales in the area.

We are looking for somebody with a proven track record of being a go-getter and who understands how to partner and collaborate with the business. We need someone who can influence, with an analytical mindset, result-driven and a strong commercial acumen.

What Will You Do?

  • Proactively develop KONE's position, brand awareness in distributor countries.
  • Identifying growth opportunities by building relationships with key customers in the assigned area.
  • Supports and develops KONE's position in his/her customer base or market area.
  • Create and track strategic sales growth targets with distributors.
  • Business planning and forecasting for the area.
  • Define and implement pricing policies for the distributors in line with unit targets.
  • Provide KONE's offering to new markets and segments.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and reduces service lead time.
  • Lead, direct, and evaluate employee competence development in cooperation with the process managers.
  • Support contract negotiation with distributor and KONE legal team.
  • Attend to all requests from the distributor and ensure responses and solutions.
  • Manage/supervise the equipment delivery process.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting.
  • Driving the execution of her/his individual sales plan.
  • Coach, develop, and manage direct reports to deliver strategic direction and support to distributor countries.

Are You The One?

  • 7+ years of relevant working experience in sales management in a similar B2B industry.
  • Working closely within a distribution environment, managing distributor business in related industries across the Middle East with a focus on growth.
  • Excellent understanding of value-selling techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence customers and colleagues.
  • Hands-on with the ability to work independently and propose alternatives and solutions.
  • Excellent English & Arabic language skills with French being an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across the region.
