Position Overview:

KODA is seeking a full-time Software Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Engineer who will work the Autonomous Flight Termination Unit (AFTU) prior to its use at the Department of War, Department of Energy and NASA launch and test facilities. Duties include: requirements/design/code analysis; test and evaluation (review and witness of test activities); safety assessments and reporting.

This position will be 100% on-site at Redstone Arsenal.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience performing IV&V activities in safety critical environments.
  • Ability to review and assess system requirements, test plans/procedures, test results, and performance data.
  • Proficiency with programming/scripting languages (Python, MATLAB, C/C++).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills (ability to communicate via technical reporting and briefings).
  • 4 years of relevant experience.
  • BS in engineering, computer science or a STEM field.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with Missile Defense programs.
  • Experience with engineering and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall).

Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance, or higher, is required.
