Senior Product Design Engineer
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams (signal integrity, manufacturing integration, program management, sales, validation, senior leadership) to align on technical and business goals.
- Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to validate and refine product designs.
- Partner with manufacturing to select materials and optimize for design-for-manufacturability (DFM), design-for-assembly (DFA), and cost efficiency.
- Create or update detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and quality.
- Engage with customers and suppliers to capture requirements and resolve design challenges.
- Lead design reviews and troubleshoot complex engineering problems.
- Monitor industry trends in high-speed data transmission and automotive connectivity technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and peer review.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders.
- Support manufacturing and quality teams during product launches; travel to manufacturing sites as needed.
