Be responsible for Quality Control, Lab Equipment Management, and Claim Handling.
Collaborate proactively with the coater process team to improve coating operations using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other statistical methods to analyze production data and maintain process stability.
Own and maintain plant product specifications, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with all relevant legal and certification standards (e.g., LBNL, ASTM).
Ensure all lab equipment is properly maintained, certified, and used accurately for reliable measurements.
Work directly with customers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. This may involve up to 20% travel.
Implement best practices and procedures, including documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training guidelines, and contingency plans for your area of focus.
Define operating parameters for lab equipment and conduct optimization experiments to enhance performance.
Train production operators and collaborate with them to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the operation and maintenance of sputtering-based industrial glass coating lines.
Be capable of troubleshooting vacuum systems and resolving technical issues.
Be available for shift work (Sunday–Thursday) and respond during scheduled on-call periods, including nights and weekends, to address urgent problems.
Tune and maintain thin film coatings to ensure consistent product quality that meets customer expectations.
Support R&D experiments on production equipment, assisting in planning, execution, analysis, and troubleshooting of vacuum coating systems.
