Responsible for testing, characterization, and performance evaluation of active optical components, including laser devices and photodetectors. The role supports component qualification, vendor evaluation, and product development through systematic optical testing and data analysis.
Devices include laser chips, chip-on-carrier (CoC), packaged laser modules, and photodetectors, covering technologies such as single-mode and multimode lasers, fiber lasers, pump lasers, CW lasers, tunable lasers, PD, and APD.
Perform optical testing and characterization of active components including laser chips, CoC devices, packaged laser modules, PD, and APD devices.
Conduct standard optical measurements such as:
Develop and maintain test procedures, setups, and automation scripts for optical component testing.
Analyze measurement results to verify device performance, stability, and consistency.
Support component qualification and vendor evaluation through performance comparison and statistical analysis.
Document test results and prepare clear technical reports.
Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure components meet product and reliability requirements
BS or MS in Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
